Rooted in Greece. Shared with Sweden.
Mattheos Selections brings the pure, unprocessed flavours of Greek nature to Scandinavian tables — honestly sourced, carefully chosen and delivered with care.

It began with a passion for real, natural food
My name is Mattheos Tasios, and I have always had a passion for natural products — the kind that give genuine energy and well-being, not just sweetness. Growing up, honey from the Greek mountains was part of everyday life.
After settling in Stockholm, I could not find anything that tasted like home. So I went back to the source: small producers in Greece who work the way their families always have — patiently, sustainably and without shortcuts.
What started as a few jars for friends has grown into Mattheos Selections: a curated collection of raw honey, cold-pressed olive oil, superfoods and natural skincare that we are proud to share with you.

Our mission
To make authentic, naturally sourced Greek products easy to enjoy across Scandinavia and Europe — while making sure the small producers behind them are fairly rewarded for their craft.

Our vision
A food culture where people know exactly where their food comes from, where bees are protected, and where traditional craftsmanship has a sustainable future.
Four promises in every jar
100% natural & pure
No additives, no preservatives, no heat treatment. Just pure goodness, exactly as nature intended.
Sustainable beekeeping
Our producers practise ethical, nomadic beekeeping that protects bee colonies and the landscapes they depend on.
Genuine provenance
Every product is traceable to a single region and a named producer. Natural crystallisation proves our honey is raw.
Fair partnerships
We buy directly from small family producers, so more of every krona stays with the people who make it.

Slow by nature, careful by design
Nomadic beekeeping means following the blossoms: hives travel from coastal thyme to mountain fir forests as the seasons change. The result is honey with real character.
- 1
Follow the bloom
Hives move with the seasons across Thessaly and Mount Olympus — from wild thyme to oak and fir.
- 2
Harvest by hand
Frames are harvested only when the honey is fully ripe, then gently cold-extracted.
- 3
Jar without heat
Never heated or ultra-filtered, so natural enzymes, pollen and aroma stay intact.
- 4
Deliver from Stockholm
Orders leave our Stockholm warehouse, usually within 1–2 business days.
The beekeepers of Southern Olympus
Every ákesis jar carries the name of the Vassiliou-Kontos family — nomadic beekeepers whose hives follow the seasons from the plains of Thessaly to the oak forests above Kalabaka, in the shadow of Meteora.
- Nomadic beekeeping, season by season
- Harvests from sea level to 1,200 metres
- Honey that crystallises naturally
